This is a special massage done by exerting pressure gently to all the Marma (vital) points by trained masseurs. A highly specialised system of massage, Chavittithirummal is very effective in the treatment of muscular and joint problems, rheumatism, back pain, and in enhancing vigour and vitality. In this therapy, herbal oils are generously applied all over the body and the whole body is massaged with the feet as the masseur holds on to an overhead support. Pizhichil |
Pizhichil is one of the rare and unique Ayurvedic therapies. This is a special herbal oil bath where lukewarm herbal oils are applied all over the body by 2 to 3 trained therapists in a rhythmic way continuously, for about 60 to 90 minutes per day for a period of 7 to 21 days. The treatment is done on a special table made from a single piece of Strychnous Nuxvomica wood. This process is extremely useful in treating rheumatic problems, nervous weakness and nervous disorders.

Sirodhara |
In this process, herbal oils, medicated milk, medicated buttermilk and other concoctions are poured on the forehead in a special method for 30 to 45 minutes after a relaxing full body massage. This is one of the most relaxation-providing therapies in Ayurveda and is very effective in the treatment of insomnia, sleeping disorders, mental tension and certain skin diseases.

Njavara Kizhi |
Here the whole body or any specific part of the body is made to perspire by applying certain medical puddings (made of a special rice called ?njavara? prepared in a concoction of milk and herbs) externally in the form of small sacks tied up in muslin bags. This is helpful in healing all types of rheumatism, pain in the joints, certain skin diseases, diabetic neuropathy, and all degenerative diseases.

A special paste made of Amla and herbal roots is applied on the head after giving gentle head massage. Very effective in cooling and smoothening the mind, insomnia and certain neurological conditions

In this unique spinal herbal bath, specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept over the lower back within a herbal paste boundary. The treatment lasts for 45 minutes to 1 hour and is very effective for any types of back pains, spinal disorders, lumbar spondylosis, degenerative inter vertebral disc prolapse conditions, sciatica etc.

Akshi Tarpanam |
In this process, special herbal medicines processed in ghee is poured and kept in and around the eye within a herbal paste boudary. This is very effective in preventing cataract, strengthening optic nerve and muscles, and early optic disorders in children.

Dhanyamal Dhara |
This is a special herbal liquid bath for the whole body in a rhythmic manner by 2 to 3 highly trained therapists by a special vessel for 45 minutes to 1 hour every day. This treatment is very effective for hemiplegia, paralysis, rheumatic complaints etc. |
Slimming programme |
Ayurvedic slimming methods dont? suggest starving or suppressing appetite. Fat reduction is achieved through balancing the metabolic activities in the body (especially fat metabolism) by applying herbal massage using herbal powders. It lipolyses subcutaneous fat deposits and also tones the muscles.
